HVAC HAULING DIRECT FROM JOBSITES AND RECYCLING
REFRIGERANT RECOVERY AND RECYCLING, EPA 608 COMPLIANT
Eventually, all air conditioning and cooling systems will fail or wear out and need to be replaced. For the eco-conscious and conscientious, the question of what will happen to your system is of course a natural one. That is why you can turn to Number 1 Recycling for HVAC recycling and air conditioning recycling services.
At Number 1 Recycling, we know that the environmental impact of equipment like yours matters to you long after they’ve served you. We started out with the intent to recycle HVACR and air conditioning units properly, and we can ensure yours is in that number.
The Number 1 Difference
Number 1 Recycling started in 1989 specifically to provide full-service HVAC recycling and air conditioning recycling solutions for industrial, commercial, and residential systems throughout Southern California.
We have ESCO Universal Certification for both high pressure and low-pressure Freon systems. In fact, in 1993, when the Montreal Protocol came into effect, we were one of the first recycling yards to get EPA licensing to recover Freon. And for any jobs you may have in the City of Los Angeles, we are one of the few scrap companies that have the required Solid Waste Hauler Permit in place.
Types of HVACR equipment that we recycle include package units, multizone units, boxcar units, condensers, air handlers, reciprocal water-cooled chillers, air cooled chillers, centrifugal chillers, absorption chillers, refrigeration systems, computer room systems, cooling towers, evaporative condensers, fluid coolers, and boilers, among others.
WHAT WE DO
We first remove and properly recycle or dispose of the harmful gasses and chemicals these appliances would normally leak into the air or water if left to sit in a landfill. We then recycle the metal that makes up the old equipment so they can continue to be useful.
We are EPA- and ESCO-certified and fully licensed to perform both Freon recovery and waste oil disposal, so that no waste, spillage, or environmental damage occurs when you entrust the recycling of your old HVAC or air conditioning unit to us.
We also buy back used refrigerants, including R-22, R-134a, R-11, R-123, R-407C, and others. Refrigerant testing equipment available in house.
In addition to our Industrial Salvage division at Number 1 Recycling, we also have our full-service recycling center at New Horizon Salvage.
We cover all Southern California. We go to Santa Barbara County, Kern County, Los Angeles County, Ventura County, San Bernardino County, Riverside County, San Diego County, Imperial County, and Orange County, Ca.
